Housing land supply
The supply figure an Inspector accepted, not the one the council published
Five year housing land supply decides whether housing policies carry full weight, and councils and appellants rarely agree on the number. We read it out of the decision letters: what was argued, what the Inspector accepted, and on what date. Close to 300 authorities have a position established at appeal, each linking back to the letter it came from.
Because every figure is dated, it is honest about its own shelf life: adopt a new plan and the position resets, and the tool says so.
